The company describes itself as a specialist in career transitions. They can prepare quality career documents for both military and civilian clients. The site has a bright design and the front page introduces a special ‘all inclusive’ package – however, there’s no price for it. I was in the middle of the process of career transitions and thought this website would be a good idea; moreover, the testimonials were good and they described in detail how exactly they worked.

Price policy

The major services provided by this website are resume editing/writing and career consulting. However, I looked through the numerous articles and haven’t found the prices anywhere! So I had to send my old resume through the contact form and ask for a quote. I got an email from the writer the next day, and she said my package would cost $499. She also insisted on my purchasing of a bigger and more expensive package, but I didn’t need those extra services.

Resume writing process

The writer already had my old resume, but it was pretty brief and shallow, so as soon as I paid (by the way, I made payment through the site, though it wasn’t very convenient as I had to enter all the information manually) we arranged a phone consultation. It was quite short as the writer used this time only to ask me additional questions. I was promised a delivery within one week; as I didn’t want to pay an enormous extra fee for rush delivery, I agreed on this term.

Writing and support quality

As I learned from this review site, some resume companies (Perfect Resume or others) do offer customer support. Here, however, the only type of support was the opportunity to call or email the writer, and obviously she was in touch only in business hours. After the writer collected the information she needed, I haven’t heard from her till the moment of package delivery. There was no doubt that the new resume was much better than my old one. Nevertheless, I noticed the excess of template phrases in it.

Summary

In the result of this collaboration I received a well-written resume which I believed would be a good helping hand in my job search process. There were downsides, too. The site did not advertise the prices – as they were higher than average. You cannot choose the deadline and you are continuously offered expensive packages. The site is ok, but the next time I think I’ll stay on cheaper and more customer-friendly company.
